Massage Therapy Coventry
Privacy Policy
How I collect, use and look after your personal information when you contact me, book a treatment or use this website.
This policy explains what personal information I collect when you contact me, book a treatment or use this website, what I do with it, and the choices you have. I’ve kept it as short and plain as I can.
About this policy
Who I Am
Massage Therapy Coventry is run by me, Lee-Ann, a self-employed massage therapist and nutritional therapist. I work from a private treatment room on Sandpits Lane, Coventry CV6 2FR.
I decide how your personal information is used, which makes me the “controller” of it under UK data protection law.
If you have a question about this policy or your information, the easiest way to reach me is through the contact form. You can also call me on 07557 405718.
What I collect
The Information I Collect
When you send a message through this website
The contact form asks for your name, whether you are male or female, your email address, your phone number and your message. It also asks you to tick a box confirming you are looking for a professional massage.
When you call, text or message me
I’ll have your phone number and anything you tell me in a call, voicemail or text. If you message me on Facebook or Instagram, those messages are also covered by Meta’s own privacy policy.
When you book and have a treatment
I keep your contact details and a record of your appointments, including any package sessions you have used. Before your first treatment I’ll ask about your health, such as medical conditions, medication, injuries and pregnancy, so I can check the treatment is safe for you and adapt it. For a nutrition programme I’ll also ask about your diet, lifestyle and health goals.
Health information is a special category of personal information. I only record it with your explicit consent, and I keep it confidential.
When you visit this website
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information, such as the type of device and browser you use and the pages you visit. See Cookies below.
Why I use it
How I Use Your Information
I only use your information where the law allows me to:
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange your appointment, because you have asked me to.
- To give you a safe treatment and keep notes on it, so I can provide the service you booked. I record health details only with your explicit consent.
- To keep business and tax records, because the law requires me to.
- To deal with a complaint or an insurance claim, because I have a legitimate interest in protecting my business.
- To see how visitors use this website, so I can improve it. See Cookies.
I never sell or rent your information to anyone.
Retention
How Long I Keep It
- Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
- Client and treatment records, including health information: 7 years after your last treatment, in line with what professional insurers require.
- Financial records: for as long as HM Revenue & Customs requires, which is at least 5 years after the tax return deadline.
After that, paper records are shredded and digital records are deleted.
Security
Keeping It Safe
Paper records are kept locked away, and digital records are kept on password-protected devices and accounts. Only I have access to your treatment records.

Cookies
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. This website uses:
- Essential cookies that make the site and its contact form work. These include Google reCAPTCHA, which stops spam being sent through the form.
- Google Analytics, which counts visits and shows which pages people find useful. It gives me overall figures, not who you are.
- Google Maps and Google reviews, which may set their own cookies when the map or reviews load.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also turn off Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. If you block essential cookies, the contact form may not work.
